Luke DraperCBT & MindfulnessA thoughtful approach to meaningful change

You don’t have to work
through it all alone.

If life has begun to feel like a struggle with your own mind, therapy can offer space to understand what’s happening — and explore a different way forward.

A little about me

Hi, I’m Luke.
I’m glad you’re here.

Therapy is a space to be understood, and to begin understanding yourself.

I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with a deep interest in mindfulness and how we relate to our thoughts, emotions and experiences.

My approach brings together the practical tools of CBT with a compassionate, mindful way of meeting your inner world. We can explore the patterns keeping you stuck, while making room for the person behind the difficulty.

I see therapy as a collaboration. Your experiences, goals and what matters to you help shape the work we do together.

How we might work together

Understand the pattern.
Find room for change.

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. We can begin with what feels difficult and work towards a clearer understanding, one step at a time.

01 / UNDERSTAND

Make sense of what’s happening.

Explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours, and recognise the cycles that may be maintaining difficulties.

02 / RESPOND

Develop a different response.

Use practical CBT tools and mindful awareness to try new ways of responding, rather than feeling caught in the same familiar patterns.

03 / PRACTISE

Bring the work into your life.

Explore manageable steps between sessions, reflect on what you discover and build on approaches that are meaningful to you.

Does this sound familiar?

Perhaps you’ve been carrying more than people realise.

You may be considering therapy because something feels difficult to manage, or because you want to understand yourself more clearly. You do not need to have a diagnosis to make an enquiry.

  • You find yourself caught in worry or overthinking.
  • Your mood has been low, or life feels less rewarding.
  • You feel stuck in patterns you want to change.
  • You’re hard on yourself, even when you’re trying your best.
  • You would like support to explore a different way forward.

A few things you may be wondering

Before you enquire.

Do I need to know exactly what’s wrong?

No. It is common to find it difficult to put your experience into words. You can begin with what you know and explore the rest in conversation.

Does enquiring mean I have to start therapy?

No. An enquiry expresses an interest in finding out more. You can consider whether the approach and practical arrangements feel right before agreeing to work together.

How much are sessions, and how are they delivered?

Fees, current availability and session arrangements can be clarified during the enquiry process, before you decide whether to proceed.

Will mindfulness be part of the therapy?

Mindfulness can complement CBT by helping you notice thoughts and feelings with greater awareness. We can discuss whether and how it might be useful for you, rather than assuming one approach suits everyone.

An invitation, at your pace

A conversation could be
the beginning of something different.

If you would like to explore working together, you’re welcome to take the next step.
