Understanding the scope of therapy, coaching and educational products offered by Luke Draper.

CBT therapy is offered within the United Kingdom. Individual work outside the United Kingdom is coaching, subject to suitability and local requirements. Books, courses and retreats do not replace therapy or medical care.

1. Professional status and scope

Luke Draper is a trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapist registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). His CBT therapy service is offered to clients located in the United Kingdom, subject to assessment, suitability and an individual therapy agreement.

BABCP registration relates to Luke’s professional status. It is not a claim that BABCP endorses this website, the book, retreats, courses or coaching services, or that it authorises practice in every country.

2. Clients outside the United Kingdom

For clients located outside the United Kingdom, any individual sessions offered are coaching sessions, not an offer of CBT therapy, diagnosis or treatment of a mental-health condition. Coaching focuses on agreed personal-development goals, reflection and wellbeing within an appropriate non-clinical scope.

International coaching is subject to individual suitability, applicable local requirements and appropriate insurance cover being established before sessions are agreed. Please disclose where you will be physically located during sessions, including any changes or travel.

Describing a service as “coaching” does not override local law or remove professional responsibilities. Where your needs require clinical treatment, or a service cannot appropriately be offered where you are located, Luke may be unable to proceed and may recommend that you seek suitable local support.

3. Books, online programmes and retreats

The book, recorded teachings, guided meditations, worksheets, online programmes and retreats provide general educational, self-help or contemplative material. They are not individual therapy, diagnosis, medical advice or a substitute for appropriate professional care.

Buying a product, joining a course or reading this website does not establish an individual therapist–client relationship or include personal assessment, clinical monitoring or ongoing access to Luke, unless a separate service is expressly agreed.

Examples and spiritual reflections are offered for exploration. They do not promise recovery, awakening, enlightenment or any particular result. Individual experiences and outcomes vary.

Do not stop prescribed treatment or change medication on the basis of course material. If you are unsure whether a practice or programme is suitable, discuss this with an appropriately qualified professional who understands your circumstances. You may pause or stop a practice that feels distressing and seek support.

4. Individual sessions and suitability

An enquiry is not confirmation of a booking or acceptance into therapy or coaching. Before work begins, the service type, goals, suitability, fees, session arrangements and cancellation terms should be explained and agreed in writing.

Any individual therapy or coaching agreement sets out the specific arrangements for that service. It cannot remove rights you have under applicable law. No outcome or timeframe for improvement is guaranteed.

5. Urgent support and safeguarding

This website, enquiry forms, courses and coaching services are not emergency or crisis services and do not provide continuous monitoring. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are or seek urgent local professional help.

Confidentiality is important but is not absolute. Relevant limits, including safeguarding, serious risk and legal disclosure requirements, should be explained in the individual service agreement. Do not use a general enquiry form to send detailed clinical histories or urgent requests.

6. Purchases, access and product information

Read the product description and checkout information before paying. The total price, what is included, delivery or access arrangements, any access period, technical requirements and applicable cancellation information must be clear before an order is placed. Do not assume lifetime access, personal support or a particular launch date unless expressly stated.

Programmes labelled “example”, “preview” or “in development” are illustrative and are not available for purchase unless a live offer expressly states otherwise. Payment services and external platforms may have their own terms and privacy information.

7. Cancellations, refunds and your rights

Your statutory rights are not excluded. Applicable cancellation and refund rights depend on the product or service, how it is purchased and the relevant law. Faulty or misdescribed content may give rise to separate rights.

Where the statutory cooling-off rules apply to paid digital content, immediate access does not by itself remove the right to cancel. Early supply requires your express consent and acknowledgement of the resulting loss of that cancellation right, with appropriate confirmation. These terms alone do not obtain that consent.

Any additional refund policy, session cancellation notice period or charge must be disclosed before you purchase or book. To raise a cancellation, refund or access issue, use the seller contact details in your checkout information or order confirmation. If these are unclear, ask for clarification before paying.

8. Privacy and personal information

Personal information must be handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law. A separate privacy notice should explain who handles your information, why it is used, relevant lawful bases, recipients, retention and your rights at the point it is collected. These conditions are not a replacement for that notice.

Check the privacy information on any external enquiry, payment or learning platform before submitting information. Please do not record sessions or share another participant’s personal information without the necessary permission.

9. Use of materials

Unless the product licence says otherwise, purchased materials are supplied for your own personal use. Do not redistribute recordings, share paid access or sell copies without permission. This does not restrict uses permitted by law.

10. Questions and concerns

If you have a concern about a product or service, raise it with Luke using the service contact details provided with your booking or purchase. Include the relevant order or booking reference, without sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Concerns about professional conduct may also be eligible for consideration through the relevant professional complaints route. Information about BABCP’s process is available on the BABCP website; eligibility is determined by the professional body.

11. Responsibility and changes

Nothing here excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory rights that apply to you are not removed by calling a service coaching, using an external checkout or publishing these conditions.

This page may be updated to reflect changes to the services. Later changes do not automatically alter an existing agreement or remove rights attached to a purchase already made. Keep a copy of the information and terms supplied when you book or buy.
